The UNE Student National Dental Association (SNDA) recently partnered with the Oral Cancer Foundation for an oral cancer walk and screening event in Portland.

John Contreras (Dental Medicine, ’20), vice president of SNDA, organized the event.

Several College of Dental Medicine students joined with Contreras to show their support for oral cancer awareness.

SNDA raised more than $2,700. One-hundred percent of the proceeds are donated directly to the Oral Cancer Foundation to fund additional research and awareness. SNDA plans to take part in the walk annually.
