UNE’s living wall is the subject of a photo essay by photographer Greg Rec in the .

You can not help but notice the 20-by-20-foot wall as you enter the Ripich Commons on UNE’s Biddeford Campus.

Composed of 960 living plants, it stretches from the first floor to the second floor of the building.

It was designed by Lynne Petty of the Massachusetts-based company Plantwerks and is the largest living wall that the company has installed in Maine.
