Barry Costa-Pierce leads lecture series at the 高清不卡福利 of Gothenburg in Sweden

Professor Barry A. Costa-Pierce, Ph.D., chair of the 高清不卡福利 of New England Department of Marine Sciences and director of the UNE Center for Excellence in Marine Sciences, led a series of lectures in a one-week intensive Ph.D. course at the 高清不卡福利 of Gothenburg, Sweden.

The course, titled, 鈥淭ransdisciplinary approaches to sustainable marine aquaculture,鈥 attracted 23 students from 10 countries. It was organized around the United Nations鈥 Sustainable Development Goal 14 on oceans and the European Union鈥檚 Strategies for Blue Growth. Costa-Pierce gave talks on the Food and Agriculture Organization of the U.N.鈥檚 ecosystems approach to aquaculture, aquaculture spatial planning, carrying capacity, social-ecological systems, sea vegetables, and tilapia aquaculture.
