Waeil Elmisalati, B.D.S., M.M.Sc., C.A.G.E., associate clinical professor in the College of Dental Medicine, has achieved board certification by the American Board of Periodontology and received the title of Diplomate.
In order to become a Diplomate, periodontists must demonstrate significant achievements beyond the required educational qualifications and be certified by the American Board of Periodontology. This rigorous peer review process includes a comprehensive qualifying and oral examination, which covers all phases of periodontal disease and treatment.
