Priya Katwala begins externship with the American Student Dental Association

Priya Katwala (CDM, ’18) has begun her four-week administrative externship at the central office of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA).

Selected for the position from a competitive pool of applicants, Katwala is working in ASDA’s Chicago headquarters with fellow extern Christine Chen (¸ßÇå²»¿¨¸£Àû of Washington, ’19). In her leadership role, Katwala is completing rotations in each department of the ASDA and taking on a variety of projects within the organization.

During the program, Katwala and Chen will travel to the ¸ßÇå²»¿¨¸£Àû of Illinois at Chicago and Midwestern Illinois dental schools. In addition, they will meet with staff from several dental organizations and post about their experiences on the ASDA Instagram account.
