News magazine show “207” got a firsthand look at the 岻 of New England’s shark research, producing a story about James Sulikowski, Ph.D., and the work he and his students are doing to learn more about sharks and how to protect them.

A crew from the show, which airs on WCSH, ventured out on a shark fishing expedition with Sulikowski to perform research such as collecting blood specimens and performing ultrasounds on potentially pregnant females. Sulikowski explained that this research helps scientists to conserve and manage the species by identifying critical habitats for sharks.
