UNE provides brain injury education at Saco鈥檚 Pumpkin Harvest Festival

Students joined Michael Burman, Ph.D., associate professor and K-12 outreach coordinator for the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences at Saco鈥檚 15th annual Pumpkin Harvest festival.

The outreach efforts, which were mentioned in the October 26, 2015 edition of the Journal Tribune, included bicycle helmet giveaways and providing information about brain injuries and epilepsy disorders. UNE partnered with the Michael T. Goulet Traumatic Injury and Epilepsy Foundation at the event, which attracted hundreds of people from Maine and out of state.
