SNAP-Ed program appears on WGME Good Day Maine segment

Maine's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) was featured on WGME 13's Good Day Maine segment as a way to promote National Nutrition Month.

Anne-Marie Davee, M.S., R.D., L.D., senior nutrition program coordinator for SNAP-Ed appeared on the program where she provided a cooking demonstration for an affordable vegetarian skillet recipe. 

In addition to explaining the specifics of SNAP-Ed to viewers, she also introduced the "$10 for 4 Healthy Recipe Challenge" running through the end of March. As a way to promote healthy recipes that can be prepared and served on a limited budget, the contest asks participants to submit healthy meal ideas that will feed a family of four for under $10.
