Local, national media report on UNE’s post-release fish mortality research

The ¸ßÇå²»¿¨¸£Àû of New England’s Department of Marine Sciences received national media attention for a collaborative study on the mortality rates of fish that are caught and released.

Graduate student Connor Capizzano, M.S. ’15, . The research was done as part of a larger survey with New England Aquarium, the ¸ßÇå²»¿¨¸£Àû of Massachusetts and Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries.

Capizzano conducted his research with James Sulikowski, Ph.D., professor of Marine Science. Sulikowski was interviewed on the subject by Portland news station WMTW.
