Anne Christine Brown highlighted in 'Current Publishing' article about successful women working in science

Anne Christine Brown, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Biology at UNE, was featured in a Current Publishing article about successful female scientists working in the field.

The article delved into Brown鈥檚 path into the marine sciences, following her early childhood interest in the subject, through her pursuit of higher education, to her Fulbright award to conduct research at the Institute of Acquatic BioSciences in Norway.

Brown discussed the presence of women in the sciences, explaining that while gender bias can exist, more and more women are entering the field and excelling. She also noted that there are currently 670 students in UNE鈥檚 Biology program, with woman outnumbering men.
