OT student group raises money for therapeutic horse riding program

The Occupational Therapy student group UNESOTA raised money to support a rider at Riding to the Top (RTT) Therapeutic Horse program in Windham, Maine.  The students presented the check and were enthusiastically received during a board meeting on Wednesday, April 23, 2014.

Students Nicole Trifone, Kirstin Russell, Angela Brunette, and Briana Hirst presented a check to RTT Director Sarah Bronson.

In addition, Trifone presented RTT with a custom made 鈥済rooming board鈥 to help riders identify and use the brushes and grooming tools with the horses.  Brushing and grooming is a beneficial sensory motor activity for riders at RTT as they connect to their horses and prepare for riding.
