Natasha Wilson speaks about racism in Maine for Safe Space Radio interview

Natasha Wilson, M.S. social work student at UNE, recently participated in an interview with Safe Space Radio about her experiences with racism, culture shock and trauma.

At UNE, Wilson鈥檚 research focuses on cultural collective and interpersonal trauma, racial identity formation, whiteness and spirituality. She discussed these topics throughout the interview by describing the prevalence of alienation and racism in her own life, white privilege in society and her experience with trauma following the death of her siblings.  

Safe Space Radio acts as a forum for discussion about challenging issues in order to provide education, healing and access to helpful resources. Wilson鈥檚 interview is part of a new series on the show about racism in Maine.
