Markus Frederich gives invited seminar at Bowdoin College

Markus Frederich, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Marine Sciences, recently gave an invited seminar at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.

His presentation "Intra- and interspecific differences in physiological indicators of biogeographical limits for decapod crustaceans" gave a broad overview of his current and past research at UNE.

Frederich highlighted his work on identifying cellular parameters to characterize stress – work that was performed at UNE with about two dozen undergraduates, resulting in student presentations at regional and national conferences and two peer-reviewed articles with undergraduates as co-authors.
