Marilyn Gugliucci presents at two Maine organizations
Marilyn R. Gugliucci, Ph.D., professor and director of Geriatrics Education and Research in UNE鈥檚 College of Osteopathic Medicine, was the invited speaker at the Maine Medical Association (MMA) Senior Chapter Luncheon in Manchester, Maine, on October 15, 2014. From there, Gugliucci traveled to the Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine, to present at the Maine Health Care Association Annual Meeting.
At the MMA, Gugliucci spoke on the topic of adult children who infantilize or disempower their parents.
The Maine Health Care Association presentation was a juried presentation titled, "What Maine Providers Know about Caring for Older GLBT Adults: Health Providers Survey Outcomes." It was based on a newly published survey report by Gugliucci and Shirley A. Weaver, Ph.D.
