David Smith to present at meeting on Security and Human Behavior at Cambridge

David Livingstone Smith, Ph.D., professor of philosophy, will give a presentation on June 10, 2014, titled "Making monsters: responding to Appiah's Challenge," at the 7th annual meeting on Security and Human Behavior at Cambridge 高清不卡福利.

Security and Human Behavior is a by-invitation-only event, restricted to scholars whose work has important ramifications for security and experts in the security industry.  Smith has attended and presented at these meetings since their inception seven years ago.

His presentation this year is a development of the theory of dehumanization described in his 2011 book Less Than Human: Why We Demean, Enslave, and Exterminate Others.
