Danielle Wozniak and Rebecca Boulos present at the Online Learning Consortium International Conference

Danielle Wozniak, M.S.W., Ph.D., director of the School of Social Work, and Rebecca Boulos, M.P.H., Ph.D., assistant clinical professor for the School of Community and Population Health, presented "Serving it up: Using the FISH_E Model to Integrate Service-Learning in a Comprehensive Learning Environment" at the 20th Annual Online Learning Consortium International Conference on October 30 in Orlando, Florida.

FISH_E courses combine some of the latest teaching models to provide students with the best of both worlds: the flexibility of online learning, and the interpersonal connection that comes from being  on campus. Wozniak discussed the innovative education research and student feedback that helped develop the FISH_E courses, while Boulos presented the benefits and lessons learned from using this type of education model.
