Cathrine Frank presents at Northeast Conference on British Studies

Cathrine Frank, Ph.D., associate professor and writing fellows coordinator in the Department of English, presented a paper titled "Gossip, Hearsay, and the Character Witness in Victorian Law and Literature" at the Northeast Conference on British Studies, which was held at Bates College in October 2014.

The paper is part of Frank鈥檚 continuing work on the relationships among legal rules of evidence, literary realism and the nineteenth-century discourse of character.
