Cara Fowler presents research at American College of Sports Medicine Conference

Cara Fowler '14, an applied  exercise science major,  recently presented her research titled "Agility Performance is Impacted by Acute Cold Exposure"  at the American College of Sports Medicine conference in Orlando, Florida.

During the 2013 spring semester, Fowler, as the principal investigator, and her classmates from an environmental physiology course, developed and taught by her research advisor Lara Carlson, Ph.D., FACSM, traveled to Iceland for the data collection. 

Fowler received the New England American College of Sports Medicine (NEACSM) Undergraduate Research Experience Grant for her research, and she was a finalist in the NEACSM Student Investigator Research Award in November.

Recently, Fowler was the recipient for the UNE 2014 Annual Biddeford Campus Award for Medicine and Public Health.
