Brian Duff quoted in ‘Portland Press Herald’ on Chellie Pingree’s lead in Maine’s First District race

The October 20, 2014 issue of the Portland Press Herald featured an article titled “Low-key campaigns mark race in 1st District,” in which Brian Duff, Ph.D., chair and associate professor in the Department of Political Science, commented on the substantial lead held by incumbent U.S. Rep (D) Chellie Pingree in the race for the First Congressional District House seat.

“There is no surprise here,” Duff stated.  “You have a liberal Democrat in a pretty liberal district and not a lot of extra money is getting pumped in.”
