Brian Duff, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of Political Science, was quoted in an Associated Press story on Maine鈥檚 second district election.

The article compares candidates Emily Cain, 鈥渁 polished dealmaker from the district鈥檚 most populous county鈥 and Troy Jackson, 鈥渁 plainspoken working-class advocate from a remote logging town.鈥

Duff said of the latter, "If he's got a big strength in this race against Emily Cain, it is that contrast."
