Lei Lei speaks at 高清不卡福利 of Southern Maine on gene regulation and neural development

Lei Lei, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology and a member of the Center for Excellence in the Neurosciences, was invited to give a seminar at 高清不卡福利 of Southern Maine on December 6, 2012. His seminar was titled 鈥淔unction of the transcription factor Sox11 in neural development.鈥

Lei discussed his research on the roles of the Sox11 protein in the development of sensory neurons and the brain. This research contributes to our understanding of gene regulation and developmental neurobiology in mammals and may lead to identification of novel therapeutic targets for treatment of chronic pain and neurological disorders.
