Trisha Mason, Christopher Rizzo and athletic training students volunteer at the Oxford Street Shelter

Trisha Mason, WCHP Director of Service Learning and Christopher S. Rizzo, Assistant Clinical Professor together with athletic training students Kirsten Olson, Rachel Ferland, Ben Walker, and Stacie Lee volunteered at the Oxford Street Shelter in Portland along with staff of Mercy Hospital and New England Foot & Ankle Specialists.  The event which took place on December 4th, "Our Hearts to Your Soles" is a national program and provided much needed foot examinations and basic foot care, along with fittings for donated shoes for homeless individuals in the greater Portland area.   More than 125 shoes and socks were provided to community participants as part of the initiative.
