Michael J. Cripps co-authors paper published in the 2010 WPA Conference Proceedings

Michael J. Cripps, Ph.D., associate professor of Rhetoric and Composition, and Heather Robinson (York College/CUNY) collaborated on "Writing as a Site of Contention in General Education Reform," a paper recently published in the 2010 WPA Conference Proceedings. The paper, first presented at the the 2010 Writing Program Administrators Conference in Philadelphia, explores the challenges of maintaining a robust vertical writing curriculum and strengthening institutional structures for writing in the face of changes to a general education curriculum that significantly reduce the number of required core courses. Professor Cripps is on the faculty in the Department of English and Language Studies.
