Journal Tribune covers women's basketball team's victory in TCCC quarterfinals

The on Feb. 23, 2011 covered the UNE women's basketball team's victory over Western New England in The Commonwealth Coast Conference quarterfinal round playoff game. The No. 2 Nor'easters host No. 6 Roger Williams, Thursday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. for the semifinals. Sports writer Dave Dyer writes that "UNE (20-6) got the job done with relative ease on Tuesday, thanks to the combination of guards Carrie Bunnell and Kelley Paradis. Bunnell, a senior, scored a team-high 22 points, while Paradis, a junior, followed with 18 points." Bunnell told the reporter that "when we have key players who may not be having the best game, we have other players that can step up and do the job. Anyone on our team can go out and play."
