Geoffrey Ganter鈥檚 laboratory research article accepted for publication

An original research paper from the laboratory of CEN member Geoffrey Ganter (CAS), has been accepted by the Journal of Insect Physiology. The paper, entitled 鈥淒rosophila male courtship behavior is modulated by ecdysteroids鈥 describes a neurogenetic connection between steroid hormones and sexual behavior in the fruit fly.  The team that carried out the project included a number of current and former undergraduates including recent CAS graduates Anda Panaitiu (2011), Joseph Desilets (2010), and Leonard Tan (2011).  Most of the involved CAS alumni are currently attending graduate or medical schools.
