David Smith gives presentation at a meeting on Humans and Other Apes: Rethinking the Species Interface

David Livingstone Smith, Ph.D., associate professor of philosophy, presented a paper on August 10, 2011 entitled "Not of my own kind: constructing the human/subhuman distinction" at a closed meeting on Humans and other Apes: Rethinking the Species Interface sponsored by the Arcus Foundation and held at the Desmond Tutu Conference Center in New York City.
