CEN Director Ed Bilsky gives talk at the 11th annual Pain Therapeutics conference

Edward Bilsky, PhD, CEN director and professor in COM gave a talk at the 11th annual Pain Therapeutics conference in London, United Kingdom. Dr. Bilsky's talk was entitled "Opioid Receptors: New Developments with Old Targets". The talk discussed some of the latest developments in the opioid field, what's next for drugs targeting the delta opioid receptor, and the clinical potential of opioid neutral antagonists as adjuncts for analgesic therapy. The purpose of the conference was to address the current issues facing translational pain R&D, clinical trials, and challenges faced when developing new therapeutics.
