WCSH features interprofessional education program on domestic violence

on Feb. 3, 2010 featured a story on a UNE education program on domestic violence. The program was built around a play by Cathy Plourde titled "A Major Medical Breakthrough" that uses an interactive approach to get students involved and weaves images and sound on to a screen to educate students on the many faces and forms of domestic violence. The program was designed as an interprofessional educational presentation for students from all disciplines within UNE's Westbrook College of Health Professions and College of Pharmacy. "We are still finding that a number of professionals are not taking the time to ask the questions," said Amy Coha, clinical associate professor at the School of Social Work.  "If you don't ask the question, you will never know how many survivors you are working with."
