UNE's SPARTACUS Program focus of WGME story

SPARTACUS, UNE's innovative project designed to partner 高清不卡福利 of New England researchers and their graduate students with the local K-12 community, was the focus of a feature story on on Jan. 14, 2010. Doug Rafferty, in his segment Doug's Discovery, interviewed UNE marine sciences graduate student Jay Williams who has been working with a class at Bonny Eagle High School. 

The Bonny Eagle class was touring UNE's Marine Science Center, and Williams was discussing her research on skates. Also included in the footage was Stephan Zeeman, professor and chair of the Department of Marine sciences, and Anne Watson, MSC volunteer coordinator. The program, which involves six southern Maine school districts, is funded by a $2.87 million five-year National Science Foundation grant.
