Press Herald features women's basketball team's successful season

The outstanding season of the Nor'easters women's basketball team was the focus of a story in the Feb. 4, 2010. The story followed a 55-52 win for the Nor'easters against Wentworth Institute of Technology, with UNE entering the game in a four-way tie for first place in the 14-team Commonwealth Coast Conference with Endicott, Regis and Salve Regina. "It's not a mystifying formula," said Anthony Ewing, who is in his third year of coaching the Nor'easters. "It's just hard work and talent. We were a young squad that tasted what it was like to be a successful program last year, and the kids like the feeling." Kari Pelletier, a sophomore guard from South Paris, added that the team had balance, depth, camaraderie.
