Brian Duff interviewed by Portsmouth Herald on Maine's gubernatorial primary

Brian Duff, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, was quoted in a June 6, 2010 story on Tuesday's gubernatorial primary in Maine. "This campaign is virtually issueless," said Duff. "Every candidate is saying the same thing: They're going to create jobs. If there's any difference, it's touting the fact that they have government experience or touting the fact that they don't." With respect to the Democrats, Duff said Elizabeth Mitchell and Steve Rowe are "nose to nose" right now, but he's putting his money on Mitchell to win for the simple reason "she's got more money to spend this week" than the other candidates.
