Brian Duff interviewed on MPBN radio about candidate's message in Governor's race

Brian Duff, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, was quoted in a Maine Public Broadcasting Network radio story May 17, 2010 on the effectiveness of one candidate鈥檚 message in the Governor鈥檚 race.  Duff said Matt Jacobson, CEO of Maine & Company, may have trouble selling his campaign message on job creation.

"He has one thing on his resume that looks great on the surface which is his whole job is trying to get jobs in Maine,鈥 said Duff.

"People don't feel like a lot of Maine jobs have been created; you know the last few years people feel like more jobs have been leaving than coming so if you look at the way he's been running his campaign he's talking more about the problems than what's worked recently."
