Brian Duff interviewed at length in WMTW story on the Maine governor's race

Brian Duff, Ph.D., associate professor of political science, was interviewed at length in a Sept. 27, 2010 WMTW 8 news story on the national attention that the Maine gubernatorial candidates are getting. In the last week former President Bill Clinton campaigned for Democrat Elizabeth Mitchell, and Mississippi governor and chairman of the Republican Governor's Association Haley Barbour hosted a fundraiser for GOP candiate Paul LePage. Duff told TV reporter Cam Tran that "the Republicans are paying a lot of attention to the governors races. Obama they know will be president for two more years and the state house is one way to frustrate the Democratic administration, to undo some of their initiatives." He also noted that Lepage is ahead in the polls and that "Paul LePage is a bit of a character."
