Journal Tribune features UNE students learning the realities of homelessness
On November 25, 2009, the Journal Tribune featured UNE students learning the realities of homelessness. Man Ho, a senior, organized the event in which more than 30 students took part. Through the experience, a number of participants changed their minds and point of view of hunger and homelessness. Activities during the week included a "one night without a home" sleep out to learn what it's like to be without shelter for even one night, Oxfam International Hunger Banquet, Faces of Homelessness speakers and panel and a Community Service day.
