Associate professor of philosophy David Livingstone Smith will be presenting a paper entitled "Purpose without agency: a theory of self-deception" at the annual meeting of the Northern New England Philosophical Association at the 高清不卡福利 of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire on October 16th. The paper proposes a new, biologically inspired approach to the analysis of self-deception as an alternative to existing philosophical approaches to the subject.
