Brian Duff quoted in Press Herald story on gubernatorial race

Brian Duff, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, was interviewed for a Dec. 6, 2009 analysis story on the 2010 21-candidate Maine gubernatorial race.  Duff explained that candidates in other states sometimes try to put a negative slant on rivals who have long served in state politics. While he didn't think that worked well in Maine, he did note that the entrepreneurial narrative may be attractive in this race. But candidates who are businesspeople should be wary of an underlying current that may make voters suspicious of that sort of narrative.
