In 1968, an Israeli Navy submarine, Dakar, disappeared in the Mediterranean Sea without a trace. After unsuccessfully searching for the sub and its crew for years, the Israeli Navy invited noted ocean explorer David Jourdan and his company, Nauticos, to conduct a search that led to the Dakar鈥檚 discovery. Join the Department of Mathematical Sciences to learn firsthand about the novel math-modeling approach used by Nauticos to find the missing submarine.
